Beulah - Demo
This is a limited tour/independent record store only version of Beulah's final album, Yoko. The tracks here are all unmastered, unmixed, and mostly acoustic versions recorded on a 4-track. As much as I love Yoko, many of these songs are just flat out better on this rough demo. Tracks like "A Man Like Me" and "Me and Jesus Don't Talk Anymore" really pack an emotional wallop when they're stripped down to the bare essentials. I'm usually not the kind of person that supports sugary pop rock, but Beulah's great hooks and solid lyrics make them undeniably great. Also, to make up for my lack of updating as of late, I'm including a video of John Vanderslice humping the shit out of Miles Kurosky of Beulah.
