The Clientele - God Save The Clientele

The Clientele return with their third full length, a collection of Big Star and Beatles inspired throwback psychedelic pop rock. The band's sound hasn't changed drastically from prior releases, which for the most part is a good thing. They also have really perfected their sound on this release. The addition of violin on several tracks, as well as other subtle added instrumentation really fleshes out some of the songs, making them even more beautiful. This is the perfect record to listen to on a cloudless summer day. It's too bad I live in Michigan and it's still fucking snowing in April.
