Disco Inferno - Technicolour + Outtakes

(Request)

I love this band to death and I feel like an idiot for not posting this sooner. For those of you who missed out, check out the post I did for my favorite D.I. release here. Technicolour is the band's follow up to that record, and is different in almost every way imaginable when compared to its predecessor. Sure, the core elements are still there; the driving back beats, bizarre sound samples, dense arrangements. Instead of taking a more ambient approach though, the band chose to create a more by the books rock record. Again, this isn't necessarily a bad thing; some of the groups best songs (It's a Kid's World, When The Story Breaks) are found here, and really, a conventional rock record by D.I. standards is hardly conventional in the grand scheme of things. Technicolour just seems to me like a step backwards for the band. Like I said, all criticisms aside, this record is great so make sure you grab it. I'm also including a link for some outtakes that never made it on the original release back in '96.

Hello .. firstly I would like to send greetings to all readers. After this, I recognize the content so interesting about this article. For me personally I liked all the information. I would like to know of cases like this more often. In my personal experience I might mention a book called Generic Viagra in this book that I mentioned have very interesting topics, and also you have much to do with the main theme of this article.

Never came across the outtakes or indeed even heard of them until the latest rash of new blogs about DI in the wake of the timely reissue of their 5 EPs..... what a treat. DI were one of the most underrated bands ever and their sheer inventiveness really did mean they were unique. It's great that so many new listeners are now finally discovering their genius.....
