Tobacco - Fucked Up Friends

(LINK FIXED 10/21/08)

I'm a big fan of Black Moth Super Rainbow and their ethereal electronic psychedelic rock, so I was completely floored when I finally came across the new solo album from BMSR mastermind Tobacco. Fucked Up Friends shares many of the same characteristics as Black Moth, but takes the music in an entirely different direction. Tobacco trades in his acid blotter for ecstasy and throws dirty bass lines and waling synth over danceable drum beats. There's a bunch of fake copies of this floating around on the internet that have been circulating since mid-August. Rest assured this is a legit rip of the REAL album.

I first heard of BMSR a few years ago, and was immediately blown away. Thank you for this (Tobacco - Fucked Up Friends) and Electric Avenue Chapter 8. I hope to see more BMSR offshoot projects here in the future if you're able to find them. Take care.

The most prevalent and easily avoidable type of cancer is the one caused by the use of tobacco. This includes the use of cigarettes, cigars and pipes. Even though smokers are addicted to nicotine, the fact that 200,000 people die every year due to smoking caused cancer should be enough motivation to quit. Some experts say that cessation of smoking can increase lifespan by up to 20 years. http://www.chantixhome.com/
