Augenwasser - New Seas / Raw Mickey Mouse Power 7"

Augenwasser is the solo venture of Elias Raschles, who recently joined Swiss psych/blues veterans Roy & the Devil's Motorcycle in 2013. The first track of this one-sided 7" has a definite Amen Dunes vibe. A hazy and intimate psychedelic serenade. Track 2 is rooted more in garage, but feels just as dreamlike as the opening track with its pitch shifting and frantic guitar. Both tracks total 4 and a half minutes and are gone all too quickly. Limited to only 100 copies on newly formed Swiss label, La Suisse Primitive. Grab it here.

Wett Nurse - EP 2014

You wouldn't think to look to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to find some solid West Coast-style garage punk, but Wett Nurse have been kicking out jams with a spooky twist from Marquette for a few years now. Slapback vocals, catchy organ riffs, and hip-shaking rhythms can be all yours for the low price of whatever the hell you'd like to pay via bandcamp. No physical copies as of yet, but stay updated through their Facebook.

VIDEO: Human Eye - Gettin' Mean

Gettin' Mean is the latest video from Detroit legends Human Eye. Hit play and marvel at the beauty of Timmy Vulgar running around as a giant praying mantis in an alternate reality psychedelic nightmare.

After that, make sure you pick the band's latest LP 4: Into Unknown out now on Goner Records.

Ride Into the Sun - Johnny Blossom (Single)

Finally got around to checking out the new tracks from Australian cosmic chaperones, Ride Into the Sun. According to their Facebook page, physical copies of the single will be available next week (a 7" I presume?). Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates, but, for now, name your price via bandcamp.

Les Rivals - s/t

With their merging of 1960s garage/power pop/psychedelia, coupled with their ultra-clean production, Les Rivals (France) remind me more of a britpop band out of the 1990s than they do any band to come out of the 1960s. You'd never guess by their sound alone that they reside on the opposite side of the English Channel. Stream it below and pick up their debut LP from Casbah Records.

Ak'chamel, The Giver of Illness - Fucking with Spirits

Dark and ritualistic "shadow music" from a mysterious costumed trio out of Texas. This one might give you nightmares with it's chanting, backwoods field recordings, and cassette tape manipulation. Sounds like something The Yellow King might zone out to down in the depths of Carcosa. Not for the faint of soul. Cassette coming soon to The Centipede Farm.

The Cult of Dom Keller - The Second Bardo

Been jamming to the new Cult of Dom Keller record quite a bit the last few weeks. Hypnotic psychedelic fuzz that'll leave you cross-eyed. The LP is already sold out through bandcamp, but there's still some copies left at the Cardinal Fuzz site. Clock's ticking.

Moss Folk - Assorted Tracks 2008-2009

Andrew James Shelp and Moss Folk have been kicking out ambient/drone/psychedelic/eastern new age weirdo jams for damn near a decade. The band currently only has a handful of recordings which all fall somewhere between a relaxed acid trip in the desert and an 80's cyberpunk slasher flick soundtrack. Check out the streaming tracks below, and make sure you check out Moss Folk open for the legendary Loop at Milwaukee Psych Fest in April.

T.I.T.S. - s/t

Debut LP from T.I.T.S. (Thugs in Trendy Style) on Teenage Menopause Records. Grimy French garage/punk that had me instantly hooked. Stream it below and pick up the limited edition pink vinyl LP through bandcamp.
