If you haven't already listened Jamaican Queens' Wormfood LP from 2013 you're missing out on one of the most underrated records of the last five years. Jamaican Queens have mastered the art of creating infectious, one of a kind pop songs by seamlessly weaving together trap music, R&B, and electro-funk. Their latest release (two original tunes and a handful of remixes) builds perfectly on their prior work and proves once again that Detroit is the best place to find wild sonic experimentation that doesn't lose sight of its pop roots.
These guys also put on a killer live show and are currently touring the east coast and midwest. Check out their website for upcoming shows.
